Oceana Villa----anyone stay there recently

Post by Dclapp »

HI, I am going to be booking a villa for next june and came across oceana. The reviews are a couple of years old, so I wanted to see if there was anything newer. We need 6 bedrooms with 6 adults and 5 kids.

Thanks for any and all help!!

I haven't stayed in Oceana but was doing a similar search for a group of 12 - 6 adults, 6 kids (some under 8). Some of the ones that made our short list (took kids, interior access bedrooms (either all together, or groups of rooms together), pool, A/C in bedrooms) were:

Crystal Seaview
Oceana
Ristaba
Vistaero (no interior access bedrooms, but 3 of the bedrooms have sleeper sofas)
Casa Luna (in Coral Bay)
Paulette
Tesori
Avalon

Good luck with the hunt!

Forgot to add that if you have kids over 8, or maybe just one kid under 8, your choices will really expand.

We stayed at Ristaba with a very large group, and it worked perfect for us. We rented the house and the cottage.

Since you're not getting a response from someone who has stayed there, I'll just say that we stayed up the hill from Oceana and drove by it several times a day. Each time we would say---wow, what a gorgeous house. Great view, beautiful stonework, brand new----looks terrific.

I"m another person who didn't stay there...we stayed across the street at Blue Skies. There is a new monster house going in right next door. Hammering noise at this point. Not bad, but it is right next to Oceana

Thanks to all that replied. I am concerned about the construction noise, but I think we may take a shot.

Thanks again to all!!

Here's a nice picture from the water (Oceana is the house on the center right, one house up from water). The house being built is down below, on the waterfront.

Sweet pic. The double-roofed one with blue rooves is Blue Skies. If you look carefully, you can see me under the house fixing the water pump.
