Amy and the boys on STJ: Day 3
Amy and the boys on STJ: Day 3
Beautiful sunrise today:

Today the plan was for Francis, Skinny's, and later on the Beach Bar for Sunday jazz and hopefully meet-up with some forumites. Hubby wanted to chill at the house in the morning, so after a breakfast of muffins from Starfish, cereal, and fruit, the boys and I headed out. Got a primo parking space and dumped our stuff on a nearby picnic table, and realized quickly that the mosquitos were going to keep us from lounging on the beach, so we headed right into the water.

Unfortunately, we had forgotten to put the battery back into the camera after charging it (doh!), so I don't have any underwater shots from this day, but the water was pretty murky anyway so it wasn't a big deal. Once we were done with our snorkel along the rocks on the right side, we packed up quickly since the bugs were definitely biting. I stupidly took my prescription sunglasses to the beach, wrapped them in my shorts, and then lost them in the scurry to pack up and get away from the skeeters. If anyone finds some Armani prescription sunglasses at Francis, they're mine! But hey, we're heading to Skinny's for lunch and some lost glasses aren't going to ruin my day.
I love Skinny Legs, and the whole laid-back vibe. Can you see flip-flop's new T-shirt in the background? I looked for flip-flop there since I knew they were staying in Coral Bay, but it sounds like they went to the exact same places we did the day before!
Note mosquito swatter!:

I actually remembered to take some photos of our food (which I forgot a lot of the trip):
Avocado-bacon-pepperjack cheeseburger (mmmm!):

Grilled mahi-mahi:

Traditional cheeseburger:

We headed back to the house to clean up and get ready to go into town. We stopped at Uncle Joe's and put in an order to pick up later, did a little shopping (which included getting a silver J-hook bracelet at Caravan Gallery--early birthday present for me!), and walked over to the Beach Bar. I saw Ruth and Ron right away on the beach, and then met Deb, Jay and their crew of visitors.
Jay, Deb, Ruth, Hubby, me, Ron:

We all kept an eye out for Neeners and Flip, but no dice. We chatted and drank and listened to good jazz--what a great group of people!--then picked up our Uncle Joe's order and headed home. Yum! We love Uncle Joe's. We watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics and to bed. Another great day.
Next: villa gravity day, and then Hawsknest on Day 5
