I love how the airlines say that charging a fee hasn't affected their business. They're all doing it, and they have us up against the wall. If Southwest went to the Caribbean, I would fly with them without hesitation, but they don't.

figures. I think I escape this time though because I purchased prior to 9/5. $30 bucks saved :)

Makes carry on even better!

We did carry on including a small cooler for 10 days. I even came home with some clothes I didn't wear!

I'd rather pay a fee for checked luggage than see the ticket prices increase. At least this way you have a choice to carry-on or not. And if you read the article, it states most of it's "loyal customers" (that's me) won't have to pay it.

And hey... Continental still gives you a free meal, so you won't hear me complaining! :D
