No problem - I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I'm a little hesitant about these Olympus waterproofs. I'm kind of wondering if I'm not best to purchase an underwater housing for my existing Nikon Coolpix (no way I'm attempting to submerge my DSLR). Looks like it's around $300 to do that.

So ... I ordered the 'little' 770sw on friday (before Flip-flop posted) and got it yesterday. Now I'm thinking of ordering the underwater housing :?

Well at least I can try it(not in the water) this weekend on the Cape. I started to read the instructions last night ... its waaayyyy more complicated than my simple point and shot.

But it will be fun to play with and hopefully I'll get a few good shots.

Thanks for all the help!

OTL - I've had my 770 SW for 18 months now with two STJ trips, two Maine trips and several fresh water adventures. No problens yet. I always take care to flush the camera with fresh water after every salt water use and try to avoid open and closing the battery cover in sandy environments.

Thanks Steve ... that makes me feel a little better.

I think I'll try it in the pool this weekend and maybe in the lake when I get back from the Cape.
I will follow the directions for cleaning it after and hopefull it will be OK :?

Have a great weekend everyone!
