I was reading about the passports thinking exactly what you wrote: Where do they deport people without passports in U.S. territories? Those folks from Puerto Rico might want to cancel that huge "No passport required" ad campaign I kept seeing over the weekend.

I would definitely send the camera back. And I am glad that I didn't purchase that one now, because lots of folks have reported that it's not as water-proof as it says it is. Regardless, I'd be on the phone with Olympus or the place where I bought it!

Flip Flop, buy a card reader for you computer, you don't need the camera. Make sure you buy one that fits your card. Then download them to your hard drive. If you have any problems let me know. The card should be fine. I have washed mine by accident before and they still worked.

Also, I was able to get my photos from my pentax after it flooded.

You will be able to get the pictures off the card. My cards were fine after the great soggy camera at Soggy Dollar incident of 2007!

Amen to that!

And thanks for all the card/picture advice. I think my techie dude (also a camera freak) at work will be able to help me out.
