Trip Report 7/10 - Day 1

Up at 2:30 AM, on road at 3:00 for 2.5 hr trip to Myrtle Beach Aiport. Uneventful flights Ft. Lauderdale to STT (yeah!). Miss Rachel is just as wonderful and warm as everyone says, she even stopped outside airport so GHH could dive for cell phone in backpack. Made Red Hook Ferry with 3 minutes to spare. While GHM did paperwork at Conrad's, boys and Orion's villa owner, Doug, walked to Connections to pick up boxes. Mrs. Sutton was formidable at first but quickly warmed up and invited us to Sunday church! A turn up the hill at the Smoothie Shack and we were at Orion's! What a beautiful home, Doug and Sharon thought of everything. Thanks to Capt. Ron for photos (they don't do it justice) and CJ for taking my call on 7/4 while limin at Woody's! We found Dunkin Donuts coffee, rum and vodka, and a new pop up float for pool (CJ, was that you?). Unloaded car and off to Skinny's for a late dinner. One waitress for about 50 people and she was a hoot - if you didn't know what you wanted, she ordered for you....many drinks later and finally burgers. Back to villa to crash, but first sunset on Widow's Walk and no tan lines swim after dark (no pool lights!).

Mrs. Sutton is a sweetheart. She always invites us to Sunday church. One day we are going to take her up on it, but not with a Saturday arrival!
