We ate there last May and gave it a mixed review. As I recall I liked what I ordered (probably a fish sandwich of some type), but my husband thought his was only okay. We do love drinks at sunset, however!

Their website says it is new- anyone know when they opened? We were there in 2005 and I don't remember it! It looks very pretty - on the water....
Thanks,

Lisa

Hey Lisa,

Pastory is not on the water it is a mile from "Town" on Centerline Road. It has mini golf and a restaurant :)

Ahhhh, Pia, you are right - and I am wrong  ... Their site says it is a VIEW of Pilsbury Sound - my mistake.

Anyone else eat there? Their online menu does not list prices - how do they compare to some other restaurnats - Rhumb Lines, Zozo's, Banana Deck?

It looks pretty - is it?
Peace,

Lisa

I think it's got a great atmosphere, and it's a nice place. The food is so-so...there are much better places to eat on St. John. I'd compare the prices to Banana Deck, Morgan's Mango, etc. The sunset is indeed beautiful, and the mini golf course is fun too. The new owners recently took over, but haven't made any drastic changes.

We ate there last spring '06 and it was one of the best meals we had that week. Maybe it was because we had 3 teenagers and Pastory had sandwiches, hamburgers, etc lots to choose from...dinner food, sandwiches, snacks......The bar is very nice, and there was live entertainment the evening we were there. the sunset was magnificent and the kids had loads of fun playing mini- golf ( $12 a pop!!!btw...) while hubby and I had drinks and listened to the music. I think they take reservsations too.

We like it for drinks after the beach with appetizers. Hard to compare their menu with some of the better "in town" restaurants.

Hi,

We had drinks and appetizers at sunset in November. Both were good; sunset view was excellent. (except for one pole)

We also played a round on the miniature golf course - fun!

The food is decent and its a very good mini golf course and nice views. We liked Island Blues in Coral Bay better. Turn right at the first intersection when you come down the hill into Coral Bay and go about 2/3 mile and its on your left right on the water with heavenly, refreshing breezes and better food than many of St. John's restaurants. It was closed on Mondays in June so don't drive all the way there without checking.....we did and when we arrived and parked, the only ones there we the three donkeys staring at us from the parking area as we turned around.

We've enjoyed our meal at Pastory Gardens. We played the first 9 holes on the mini-golf with cocktails in hand (they have nice drink holders at each hole), had dinner and then played the last nine holes after dinner. It was a fun evening with our boys.
