HEP ME, HEP ME!!!
For the posting challenged GHM, I've been back from STJ a month, faithfully logged in my trip reports every night at Orion's Hill (thank you Cruzan Mango over ice!), wrote my first trip report recently uploaded all my pictures to Picaso 2,chose the first picture that I wanted to post, clicked on it and was supposed to see "Link to this photo". I don't see it anywhere? What am I doing wrong? I have so much that I want to post and can't get the pictures to cooperate! I have all of the directions from a helpful forum person but I'm at a loss? Should I try to upload them to another program? The trip report is great but so much more fun with the photos!

Picasa works in 2 portions. there's the part you down load to your computer that you can use for editing. once you have edited your photos there's a button that should be on the bottom of your screen (when you are in Picasa2) that says "web album".
If you select the photos you want to upload to the web, then click that web album button your photos will upload.
Then you end up with an album like this http://picasaweb.google.com/mbw1024/StJohn2007
From the web album you can view a picture and then you should be able to see "link to this photo"
When your photos are in Picasa2 they only reside on your computer. By uploading them to the web that is the piece that allows you to post them in your trip report.
I hope that helps someone! If not just ask

Susan, if you already have an album just select a photo to view (a single photo, not the whole album with thumb nail view). If you look at the right side of the page you should see your photo info (1 of 200, photo size etc)then you see where you can play slideshow, then tags, then set album cover, keep going down and you will see link to this photo > (it's got a bold arrow after it). Click that.susan & herb wrote:I must admit that I did not see the info. that I was suppose to see in my Picasa album either. I was too embarrassed to ask for help here again. Still have not done my report from May.
Can someone help us challenged forum members?
It will open a box of information. In that box change the size, I choose medium for this photo. Now go to the box that says HTML to embed in website. Click in there and copy the code that is there. Bring it back to this website and paste it in to your post. Your photo should appear. Try it and see if it works. If you can't get it email me!
