help me with my villa search

Post by liamsaunt »

Hello forum friends,

Help me start my new villa spreadsheet! I already have a list of houses that are under consideration for future trips, but they are homes I was considering with just John and I in mind. Now I am considering a different mix of people to invite, so I need some different features. Here is what I am looking for.

1. A minimum three-bedroom house (larger is OK)
2. Two of the bedrooms must be connected to the main pod via interior access, and those bedrooms must have AC
3. Another bedroom (exterior access OK) must have ocean views. AC ideal, but not required.
4. Swimming pool (size unimportant)
5. Child acceptable (youngest child will be seven)
6. Any location on island is OK with the exception of Chocolate Hole (Pond Bay construction) or East End (too far out)
7. Ideally $4,000/week or less in the off season. Willing to consider slightly more $$, but won't be happy about it.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Blue Skies may fit. 2 buildings. The main house has 2 BR and the "cottage" has the other 2. I think it's under $3500 for the week off-season.

Now that I fixed the water pump, it's A-OK. ;-)

I am not 100% sure on the kids restriction though.

Detailed report on the house soon come

We're doing Mayan Sky theough VIVA this December -- i think it fits your bill.

We're also doing Casa Luna (also VIVA) next summer-- might also fit your bill:

If you don't mind Choc Hole Hillside (really High up) I can highly recommend Ambiance although it may not be an ideal layout in terms of the Bedrooms and it might be a bit more budget wise. It's so high up on the hillside though that ponde bay construction won't have an impact other than what ytou see down in that direction:

I have been looking to similar villas for our next trip with the kids, although I am looking primarily in the Coral Bay/Carolina/Ajax Peak area. Gromit beat me to the suggestions of Casa Luna and Mayan Sky. Others that I have been considering ...

Villa Carolina
Great Turtle Villa
Blue Palm Villa

Here are 2 but one of them has a minimum child age of 8 but we know that some are more flexible with the age than others :)

I have not seen them in person and really don't know if the bedrooms are connected from the interior (I don't like it when there is no layout shown) but had bookmarked them as I thought they looked great.

Summerwind is owned by a family with 3 children under aged 10 so age probably would not be a factor but I think 1 bedroom (master) is upstairs and the others are all downstairs but next to each other - maybe it could work ?? - thought it was worth throwing out there as the price is right :)

Dude, seriously...After your less than glowing report on the water pump, I think I'll steer clear.

Enjoying your blog though, that's high comedy!

Waterfall is nice in Rendezvous Bay area. We rented Easy Breezes (new) in Coral Bay for next April.

not sure it fits all your needs but what about Cocotier in VGE? Destination STJ handles it.
