May report: Friday-Sunday
Well, I just typed a hugely long report and when I hit submit it disappeared, so now, you'll get less typing and just the pictures. In summary:
On the last days we hit Baked in the Sun for breakfast. Friday was a Francis Bay day.

Koozies we had made to celebrate the engagement.
Visibility was poor that day, but Jason did find a nurse shark sleeping peacefully. He was thrilled since this was one of his goals. Everyone enjoyed viewing him until that horrid family arrived and caused a huge ruckus on the beach and then ran into the water and bragged about annoying the shark until it swam away. I seriously wanted to do bodily harm to that group.

We left shortly after their arrival and went to tour Annaberg. Wonderful views, great history.

I headed down the hill early and a local came up to me from the woods asking for a bottle of water. I said sure, when the others get back with the keys to the jeep where the water is. My first thought was dang, you know better than to go off by yourself. He also tried to sell me some of his stash to "help me relax". Thankfully he meant no harm and we just joked until the others arrived and we gave him drinks and were off. We went to Shipwreck for drinks. Shipwreck was a first for us this trip and will now be a regular. Love the t-shirt I purchased at the shops close by with "Same Planet, Different Attitude" as the slogan.

This was my uncle's girlfriend's last night so we chose Cafe Roma. Love that place. As we were walking down from Mongoose, the island went black. Never happened to us before and it was cool! We set on the cement blocks on the corner by Woody's and watched the island pass by with beer in hand as we chatted with Roma's staff. An hour later lights back on, into the restaurant to begin a wonderful meal. I had some vodka penne pasta with Italian sausage that was wonderful. Tons of leftovers!

Group at dinner
Stuffed and off to bed sad that Toni was leaving. Up Early and off to Vie's Beach. No one around. Uncle met us there for a snorkel after dropping Toni at the ferry. Vie wasn't open so we headed to Skinny Legs for one last bleu cheese burger. My brother and Jason got sick shortly after lunch and didn't feel better until days later. Not sure what caused that!
Back to the villa for one last swim and hot tub.

With drink in hand, mom found this machete laying in the grass by the steps. Funny pic, but if kids had found it, could've been dangerous.
The rest of the crew wanted to go shop and have a drink at Woody's, but Jason and I chose to stay in the hot tub. We were visited by the two pups who played in the pool and caused us to laugh until their owner came looking for them and dragging them home. We were treated to a great sunset.

The group arrived home with pizza from Cafe Roma's to go with our leftovers. We enjoyed dinner, but were subdued as we prepared to depart. I hate the last day!

The moon over the water was gorgeous!
Up the next morning for a fairly uneventful departure. Returned the vehicles to St. John Car Rental, quick and painless. I ran around for last minute shoppping at St. John Spice and Low Key. A huge straw bag, beach towel, magnets and pair of Reef's later, I was done. Talk about taking every last memento home with you! Flights were on time and easy. We said good bye to Lina in the Atlanta airport since she lives in Alabama and her parents were picking her up. Sad to see her go. We made it home and dogs and house were good.

The wedding is May 16th so we won't get our usual tropical May trip. Instead we'll do a driving tour of the south after the wedding while they head to Mexico for their honeymoon. They want an All inclusive place for their honeymoon. Jason and I hope to add to our family soon so we don't know for sure when we'll get to travel again, but now we are thinking of trying to squeeze in a trip in October if we are lucky.
Thanks for reading and letting me relive the trip. Until next time.....

Was your guy from the woods carrying a large burlap sack? I ran into one in the woods at Jumbie. He then proceeded to walk up and down the beach for a while then disappeared again.
Seriously, what is it with Francis?
During our last trip, a Horrid Digny Family (really loud, bearing bags of trash) came roaring into Francis, travelling along the beach, thru the swimmers, completely ignoring the markers.
NJ Mom (we were chatting earlier in the day, which is how I know she was from NJ) walks over and tells Horrid Family in a polite way that they just plowed thru the swimming area and could they please use the marked area on their way back out.
Horrid Digny Mom gives NJ Mom lip and all hell broke loose. NJ Mom lays into Horrid Digny Mom and the guys in our group were hoping for a cat fight.
NJ Mom totally doesn't back down and basically walked Horrid Dingy Mom backward to the dingy. Horrids immediately left the beach and went back the way they came.
Some of us may have clapped.

I'm loving your reports and pictures. If I ever see a shark, I hope I'm brave enough to stick around and take a few pics.
PA Girl, I liked that story a lot. I still think someone hires those families to hang around beaches. We always manage to find at least one on every trip. This year it was at Hawksnest with a bunch of old, loud drinks making stupid comments for everyone to hear. One fellow seemed to know quite a bit about gerbils.

NJ Mom and I were chatting earilier and she was telling me that they (her family) come down to STJ for a several weekd every year since they were married, something like 20+ years. Point being, she "gets it."
We seriously thought the fight was going to turn physical.
Horrid Dingy Mom all loud mouth "blah blah blah, you can't tell me what to do" yet we all had the sense she was scared/embarassed.
NJ Mom - "Don't tell me, my daughter is in that water as well as children of other families on this beach and if you think we are going to stand for....." as she chases her down the beach.
NJ Mom was still giving it to her as they motored away.
It was quite entertaining.

I do have a cute Francis story for you though.
This year when we werew there a couple used their dingy to get to the beach from their boat. There was a dog on the boat with the couple. The wife stayed in the dingy while the husband carried the dog (probably 75 lb or more) from the dingy, presumably to do his business back in the woods. It was just so cute the way the husband didn’t want to break the “no dogs on the beach” rule and carried the big dog both ways.

JDW-I would totally stay at Sol Inclination again if it was just one or two couples. If it weren't for being scared of turning around in the driveway, I'd choose it in a heart beat.
One other note, they provide beach bags hanging in the closet by the living room. A huge perk, because I chose not to bring one with me. The villa itself is perfect and we wanted for nothing!!

The only thing we "wanted for" was a better spatula/pancake/egg turner in the kitchen. The one they had was not heat resistant and would start to melt when we used it, which was almost every day for breakfast and several times for dinner. Other than that it was well-appointed

OMG! The metal creamer leaked moo-juice every time the Coffee Boy served up a hot cuppa joe!!The only thing we "wanted for" was a better spatula/pancake/egg turner in the kitchen. And any time there is the slightest problem, call Kathy. It gets fixed.
