I've been recovering from olympic coma. I'm getting to bed so late every night, but I keep going back for more.
I guess no one could ever imagine what sport I'm addicted to watching?? HA!
I swore I was going to bed after 2 rotations and watch the rest in the morn, but I couldn't help myself!! When Nastia's gold was within reach, sleep was out of the question. She is my favorite, mostly because of her artistry. Women's gymnastics has turned too mcuh like Men's, all about power, strength, no ballet training anymore, but the judge's proved last night that they still want ballet and artistry!!

This it totally me LOL! I knew I was going to be trashed by the end of the week. Going to bed after midnight every night is the killer! I keep getting to work later and later everyday.

I agree with your assessment completely. Nastia was my favorite all the way. They were both great but I prefer the butterfly ballerina over the athletic powerhouse. It's just beautiful! I'm so glad they went 1 and 2 though. They are amazing! My heart was really racing there watching that last floor routine. Fun, fun!

Thank Gawd I can go to sleep after Phelps swims tonight and sleep in tomorrow. I've been a complete waste this entire week! We've been out of milk for two days now. Pathetic!

So I have to brag a little here. My son who is 11 today is in his swim refinement with 5 other boys, all 13. Yesterday they were racing off the blocks and he smoked em all! Bestill my beating little Phelps heart!

I agree that gymnastics is very political. That drives me crazy and is such a shame. And also agree that it is crazy that your score is based on what the others (judges) think, but that is their job. Part of your score is for artistry, and if you don't have any, your score is lower. Apples to apples, the swan will always score higher. That is what the original vision of gymnastics has always been, to be strong and elegant, not just strong.

Not only did the a crowd of Raven's fans stay at the stadium to watch/cheer Michael on. At the B-more bars, packed after the football game, everyone cheered USA before the relay & were screamin through the whole thing. It was wild in Federal Hill last night! Lots of pride going on.

Saw some shots of the bars and other areas of Baltimore this morning. That must have been some atmosphere last night!!!

I will also say that I find Bob Costas' commentary to be extremely annoying. Not that I don't always find him annoying, but some of his "quips" have been really disrespectful, in my opinion.
liamsaunt-I found this comment to be troubling. I have always thought Bob Costas was one of, if not, the best sports host on any of the cable or broadcast networks. Obviously, different people have different tastes, but I was surprised at your comment.

I didn't even know what he looked like, so I checked out his bio. We share the same b-day, so he must be OK. :D

Promoguy, that is just wrong :)

Going to the O's/yankee game Sat...hope it turns out like the last Yankee game I went to with the O's winning! Yes, they can beat them. Maybe Michael will be back in town & bring some luck with him.
