roundabout construction begins

Post by papabou »

well looks like construction has started on the roundabout at corner of centerline & south shore rds at the old texaco site. see http://www.onepaper.com/stjohnvi/?v=d&s ... 1212901100

i guess i can stand the congestion they will have for the few weeks we'll be on stj for the next 2 years, but i feel sorry for the locals. i agree with a comment today (same site), could have been fixed by using texaco site to widen and otherwis improve the intersectio. oh well

I had intended to take a picture of the site two weeks ago and post it under a thread which would have been titled, "Roundabout Soon Come?" At that time it appeared there had been no work done since we were there last year. Glad to see they are moving on it.
How many more days?

I drove past the site 4 times today I think. No construction yet.

Soon come I'm sure.

It does look funny all fenced off though.

Yes rules! Steve Howe is the greatest. Hope Jon Anderson regains his health.

Whew...I'm glad I wasn't the only one with Yes in my head as I was reading the post. I could hear the legendary Steve Howe guitar intro ringing in my head as I was reading...I think that happens every time I hear the word. Too funny....
