Good news for USVI daysail captains going to BVIs

Post by jmq »

It appears this would be good news for daysailers from the USVI going over to the BVIs - seems like it will eliminate the need to rush back to check back in with customs...

This might work well if all of the passengers were registered. It would be worth it to me to go through the process.

As far as I know, this option is only available to locals that own boats. You register your boat and family members and then you can check back in via phone. Even if you are registered, if you have any guests with you, they have to check through customs as usual. So, it wouldn't work for daysails. Which is a bummer. That's always the worst part of an otherwise awesome day.
