Questions for Tech Savvy Members

Post by bayer40601 »

For some reason the pictures I tried to post while on Island would not come up for most of you. I usually upload to photobucket, but could not get it to work with the vi internet service, so I switched over to kodakgallery.com. Is there any reason why the pics posted on kodak would not be viewable by most viewers?

This morning I moved all of the photos to photobucket, and voila, everyone could see them.

And, one more question for someone tech savvy--is there a difference in speed with which memory card readers read and transfer photos from the card to one's computer?

Thanks.

I'm not sure why Kodak's site didn't work but I do know that not all photo hosting sites are equal and some have weird quirks that make them less user-friendly.

As for the memory card question, I know some cards will read faster than others, and I'd guess that the reader could play into that, but it has a lot to do with the card itself...even in your camera, some cards will work more quickly so you can take pictures one after another and not have to wait as long in between.

in the past I have only been able to see the Kodak photos when I was logged in to the Kodak site. Since I never use it I'm never signed in.
