Cousin's trip report - day 2
Jay and I had to work, so Angie and Patti were on their own for the day. I forgot to mention in the previous post, that Angie had a little dancing accident the week before the trip and broke her foot. When I picked her up at the airport she was in a soft cast and on crutches! She said she babied it the whole week to get it ready for the trip. She didn't use the crutches the rest of the week and hobbled around without complaining one bit - she was "Super T" (super trouper).
So, back to the report. They called a taxi to drop them off at the 99 Steps.

They walked the steps then walked downtown for lunch and a cocktail. They stopped at the Happy Buzzard. It's a nice little open air bar & restaurant. Really good drinks and lunch menu. They enjoyed a "few" Mango Sunrises, excellent drink with Cruzan Mango, Cruzan Lite, Cruzan Dark, mango puree, pineapple juice, oj and grenadine. Of course they ordered it with the extra shot of rum in a test tube!

While they were sitting at the restaurant, they caught a glimpse of the Duckaneer. Is it a boat, is it a bus, it's both!

They walked around downtown a little and then to Hook, Line & Sinker. They met some guys that worked for Doubloon (pirate ship that does snorkel trips) and got "invited" to join them for a Saturday trip. They tried to be sneaky taking a picture.

Then back to the house for some pool time and more cocktails. You can probably tell by now that Angie did most of the picture taking.

Once Jay and I got home from work, we had some catching up to do. We headed out for dinner. The plan was to go to Fat Turtle and then stay for the Friday night dj party. When we got to Yacht Haven, the parking lot was full and they were turning people away! I've never seen this before. Apparently there was some kind of benefit there that day with bands and whatever. So we had to park in Havensight and walk. Since we were starving we stopped at Captain Mayhems.

Then to Fat Turtle for dancing. If you've never been to Turtle on a Friday night, then you need to go. It's a lot of fun. This was a pretty good walk so Angie's foot was pretty swollen by this point. But she hung in there and still danced!

It had been another long day, so back to the house to finish the night with some disco on the iPod!!
Next installment: Doubloon
