O.K. Here's Day 3 of Bert's Trip Report
Trip Report Day 3 - Wednesday
O.K. today is Beach Day!! The newbie had her snorkel lesson, did the shopping and tourists things in town, now on to the important things...BEACH TIME! But first, feed the critters: These guys ate breakfast with us every morning.
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 7058"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJT-oXb ... 0.JPG"></a>
As did this guy: he was the pushy one..
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 5506"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJULWV- ... 2.JPG"></a>
First the Caneel Overlook.
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 3282"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJVr224 ... 2.JPG"></a>
And then to THE overlook. This is the one that if you don't take a picture your first time, you will get a ticket issued by the tourism department of the VI's:
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 7922"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJV2IeW ... 1.JPG"></a>
And then on into the water for the one horned butt fish.....
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 2066"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJWC1VZ ... 4.JPG"></a>
The water was pretty rough that day, don't know if Bertha had anything to do with it, but it was kind of cloudy snorkeling. Not a very good first impression for the newbie. But it was still good. And she enjoyed it tremendously!
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 1730"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJWD1I- ... 9.JPG"></a>
Enough of Trunk..it was getting crowded. 2 cruise ship were in this day. So, we packed up and went to Skinney's for lunch!
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 3106"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJXcCfJ ... 3.JPG"></a>
Anybody else wonder why they have 2 sets of legs but only one head-hole??
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 5714"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJXgCz5 ... 7.JPG"></a>
We left Skinney's and went to Hawksnest for some more beach time.
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 8226"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJVHVeQ ... 8.JPG"></a>
We played there for a while, but the surf was up there too. But it was pretty good for a glamour shot or two:
My wife
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 6722"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJVDvKg ... 3.JPG"></a>
Everybody was having fun that day......even the 20 somethings that had the run of the beach (behind us)
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 5570"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJWXZKP ... 7.JPG"></a>
We then went back to the villa for some pool time:
Noodle girl:
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 6114"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJWakar ... 6.JPG"></a>
Then we walked down to the Westin for a frozen drink....or three....
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 0898"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJWdPHs ... 9.JPG"></a>
And so we came to an end of yet another day in Paradise:
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/CaribBert/D ... 4466"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/CaribBert/SJJWkS8c ... 4.JPG"></a>
Stay tuned for "The Day St. John Lost Electricity"..........
p.s. I thought instead of a bunch of words you have to read through, I would just put up some pix that tell a lot more.....if you'd rather have the narrative, just ask, and I'll cut down th number of pix.

OK, here's my take on the two pair of legs. Those are the guys who are holding up the sign so you can stick your head in the hole to get your picture made. It would be too difficult for you to stick your head through and hold up the sign. Besides, the guys doing that are wanted by some law enforcement organization and if they showed their faces, they would be plastered all over the world because of this Board and others.
I know, I know, pj says I always take things too literally, but that's my take on the other two sets of legs.
PS-really great pictures. Can't wait for the rest of them.
