Lotsa fish in Fish Bay??

Post by snorkelqueen »

Okay time to settle a family dispute. My son insists that the best snorkeling on island must be in Fish Bay because of its name. I, on the other hand, think it is just a nice name for a bay on an island and has nothing to do with an abundance of marine life. Since we have never tried to snorkel there we need forum help to know who's right!

Last month I talked to a local who surfs in Fish Bay during the summer swells there.

She also said that sharks mate there during the summer.

Well, if it has anything to do with the name of the snorkel spot, I would think Chocolate hole might be my favorite. I am thinking about chocolate, not the hole part.......!

Best for snorkeling? I would say not...and none too convenient as well. I can think of 10 beaches off the top of my head that are better and more convenient for snorkeling.

Lots of advice will be given on the forum, but I suggest buying The Bible

It will be the best investment you make for a STJ trip.
