We"re Here & Reporting (nearly live)!!! PHOTOS NOW
Arrived at 2:30 pm after two great flights from Louisville and from Charlotte. Went a little wacky in Charlotte and upgraded to First Class. I'm afraid we're hooked.
Rachel met us at the airport and was just great. One of the best moves we've ever made, thanks to XIG andother who endorsed the move.
Very hot, very dry, but it's still STJ. Later.

After settling in this afternoon, we went out to get an early dinner. After two false starts, we ended up at the (New) Fish Trap. The food was wonderful, pj had the red snapper, hla had the mussels and grouper and I had the blackened Mahi Mahi with black bean salsa and lime sour cream. Maybe it's just me, but I thought the food was better than last year.
Our waiter was from Tom's River, NJ and was a lot of fun, and very helpful. Service was better than expected actually.
After the early dinner we made the obligatory stop at Starfish for necessities, mile, OJ, grapes, etc etc. I was somewhat surprised at how bare some of the shelves were. Not sure just what is going on.
I will try to post some pictures, but at this point the internet service is somewhat suspect. Looks like we are going to have a beautiful sunset, so I'll try to get some shots. Later
PS-pj says she has already had to much Cruzan so she may not be posting tonight.

Starfish is having some major problems with their refrigeration cases from the black outs. We just got home this morning and on Thursday they were moving all of the dairy to any available refrigeration(soda cases, Chef Teds area and meat area. Also were giving a discount if you bought the dairy items. That might have somethimg to do with the empty shelfs. We also noticed that they seem to get a delivery on Mondays, just seemed they were doing a lot of stocking on the last two Mondays?? Have a great time!
Not too much rum! Only one lime n coconut at Fish Trap. Too much heat and not enough sleep left me pracitically paralyzed last night. Gettin' old is hell!
Agenda for today includes Hawksnest if not too crowded and Maho if we have time. Tonight, Beach Bar! Gonna make up for last night's lack of rum.
