Last Red Hook Ferry

Post by Diana2 »

I know that they have been trimming the ferry schedules from Red Hook to STJ. American Airlines is also pruning flights into STT and it's possible that some of our group may end up arriving in STT at 9:55PM. I'm wondering if the midnight ferry is still running?

As far as I know, it should still be running. But we're never up that late so don't know for sure. :)

As of today yes it is :)

I doubt they would cancel that one as it is the last :)

Two coworkers tried to catch the midnight ferry on Sunday night last weekend. They said it left early and thus they were stranded in the terminal all night. They saw the ferry pull away from the dock too. That's what partying late at Duffy's can do to newbies. Bet it doesn't happen again to them.

Hey Puddle

If I was a bettin' gal (humm :) ) I would say the chances were that the newbiews were late and not that the ferry left early, especially after a night at Duffy's (makes it hard to read your watch sometimes  :D )

I have taken the midnight ferry too many times to count over the last few years after arriving on the 10pm AA flight and have never known it to leave early - but then again it could happen.

Pia you are probably right. Based on their condition Monday AM there is no telling what happened. Even if it left a few minutes early, they were late. One called in sick, there other gave me a sob story about how they didn't think they could finish the day at work, and that was at 9am. They were gone by 10:30. I was not impressed. :(

The last week and a half up at the store could be a new version of "Don't Stop The Carnival". But I won't get into that. Have a good night!

I've heard plenty of stories about folks missing the midnight ferry, but those were all because they ran late. Dana from Carolina Corral missed the midnight ferry in 2004 because she was at the movies on STT. She had a morning ride scheduled the next morning and was in a sprint!
