I have made BIG progress
Chip is willing to look at "towards" Coral Bay villas, so I need some help.
He said that he hates Centerline, so if we are close to the NS road (and smootie stand) he will consider it.
I am thinking Ajax Peak area-ish. Maybe even Uppper Carolina. Not Bordeaux though.
It will, most likely, be the 2 of us. Must haves are pool, ac in bedrooms, and a king sized bed.
Would love to have is an outside shower.
We will be travelling in the off season and want to keep it around $2000, if possible. (I know, I am cheap)
Any recommendations? I have never done the "other" side of the island search and would love some ideas.

We were very happy with Luna Vista (http://www.mylunavista.com/) last May.
They have two king bedrooms,
a small pool, an outdoor shower and A/C that you probably will not need in both bedrooms.
It is on Centerline about a half mile west of the NS road and the smoothie stand. Check their web site for rates and availablity. See if that is something you would like.

I just had to laugh. What is a smootie?Xislandgirl wrote:He said that he hates Centerline, so if we are close to the NS road (and smootie stand) he will consider it.

There were some new ladies working at the smoothie stand when we were there last month and they had a jar labeled "Tips for the Smootie Lady"...

Granted some of these are Bordeaux- we were looking at Winsome House (DSJ), Notre Ciel (Carefree), Orchid Knoll (Carib. Villas), Bayview (Carib. Villas) Orion's Hill (Carib. Villas) Sea Breeze (Windspree).
Most are around $2000/ week off season. Not all of these have a/c, but if you're high enough in elevation, a/c really isn't an issue.
My wife really wanted to be closer to Cruz Bay this time, so we ended up booking Miles Away in the Rendezvous area just this past Monday.

Hi X! We stayed at Bayview on Ajax Peak. And although I gave it a less than glowing review, it's a decent little place. No outdoor shower, though, but you can walk to the smoothie truck from there and you'll have donkeys in the driveway! It's only $1750/wk. off-season. http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/bayview/bayview.html

Yes it is. But neither we nor the forumites who recommended LV to us ever heard them or were even aware that they were there.tjwgrr wrote:----------jimg20 wrote:We were very happy with Luna Vista (http://www.mylunavista.com/) last May.JIM

BTW: When we did encounter them we found them to be as nice as the folks we have encountered here.
