Villa Help

Post by cptnkirk »

Got a few villas picked out, Angelica, Sea Dreams and Arco Iris. Our criteria is at least two bedrooms, a/c in bedrooms, pool, view would be nice but not a deal breaker and not a crazy distance away from the north shore like all the way out around Salt Pond. All for around $3000 total or less, There will be five of us at Thanksgiving. If anyone has stayed at Sea Dreams or Arco Iris would love to here about them. Come on and give us some more ideas my forum buddies :D

capt, have you looked at Caneel Trailside Cottage? Someone recently posted on "another" forum that they were able to rent it at a discount through the owner. We stayed there last year, and it was very nice. Don't know what the rental would be for Thanksgiving, but you could give him a call. Here's a link.

We stayed at Pink Horses in Coral Bay and loved it! It's a two bedroom with pool. Awesome view!
O.K. I have to ask??? 5 people? Two bedrooms?? Sounds kind of kinky to me??? You crazy Buckeyes! LOL!!

cptn,

bride and i are partial to cloud nine on gifft hill and have stayed there 4 times (last time 2/08). if you liked views from ohill, you'll love west views from c9 with direct sunsets, stt lights and cruise ships departing. all one level (except loft for 3rd bedroom), pool, hot tub, expansive deck with gazebo and full ac. not luxury but very comfortable and c9 folks are very responsive if need arises.

showing available 11/18 to 11/28 and once when had only 3 people, they split rate between 2 and 3 and i'd expect they'd do same with 5.

good luck

can't change smiley face but we were there this past feb

VILLA CHOICES

Post by Rachelle & Joe »

hi capt. we stayed at beautiful Miles Away this past May for 25 daze & highly recommend the villa ! it sounds like could fit the bill ???? arco iris is on the same small street, actually it's the first villa upon entering right on the corner... while we were there it was robbed ! no one was staying there at the time so we were told ?? there is about maybe 6 villas on that road Miles Away being the last at a dead end. we took many pic's which r listed at the end of post. Shari on this forum also just returned from miles away . it overlooks Fish Bay & was an easy ride to cruz bay !

I've always wanted to stay at Haiku. I'm trying to think why we didn't do that this year... Oh well, something new is good.

:D
We stayed 10 days last year at Sea Dream. Beautiful landscaping, nice size pool very private.
Nice kitchen ,kind of small livingroom. Both bedrooms two twins together for king. Lower bdr. small
and musty ( noisy from equipment outside wall) but, heard it has been remodeled since then ! Maybe OK now.
Good view from deck outside greatroom / diningroom.
We had breakfast there every morning. Great showers in baths...large roomy for two

Hope this helps!

Morgan Point overlooks Great Cruz Bay, not Chocolate Hole. It and Haiku can both be seen better on the managing agent's site,
www.carefreegetaways.com

Coconut Hill Cottage is on
www.vrbo.com

Great Escape Reef Bay (not to be confused with the Great Escape in Catherineburg or the Great Escape in Cruz Bay) may have the least informative villa info on a website I've ever seen.
