Boat transport from STT to STJ?

I know this has been discussed but does anyone know of a boat service that will pick us up at Crown Bay or Charlotte Amalie? we contacted one serice who wanted to cart us to red hook so I figured if that was the case I would just take the car barge as usual and drive myself. I am bringing my little ones so I am trying to avoid the ferry with all the gear we have to bring!! thanks

I am fairly certain Dohm's will pick up at Crown Bay (and maybe some of the large hotel docks) I know they do not pick up in CA due to Homeland Security issues.

When I was there in Feb '08, Dohms woudl only pick up in Red Hood.

For what it's worth, I'm not sure I woudl go the "private water taxi" route next time. It was very expensive (for a 15 minute boat ride)and my driver did little more than hand us a bottle of water; and get to the dock as fast as he could.

We took the ferry back to STT on the way home, and I thought it was perfectly okay.
