Cafe Roma Sold!
Cafe Roma Sold!
It's true! It's been reported in the St. John Tradewinds today..."The popular Cruz Bay Italian restaurant Cafe Roma is under contract for sale to new owners. The second floor trattoria has been owned Joshlynn Crosley since 1988. The restaurant, with a lease through 2030, had a list price of $175,000."
I'm hoping that they maintain the fabulous food that I've enjoyed on every trip there (okay, sometimes twice a trip
Now, it's up to the Bongo boys to get the scoop on the new owners...

Josh is thrilled to have found an owner. She has worked hard for many years and she is very happy to be returning to the states to help her mother.
The restaurant has been on the market for many years, I even held the listing back in 1999, but it really takes a special person to be able to produce such a high volume of dinners in a kitchen the size of a closet and keep doing it over the course of time.
I have the recipe for Penne Roma and their salad dressing. If the new owners change the menu and take them off, I will gladly share!

Joshlynn was great helping me find something that I could actually eat at Cafe Roma (gluten-free) a couple weeks ago...in fact she was the only restaurant that emailed me back when I wrote asking about gluten-free options.
I hope the food stays good there
Their pasta (before I knew about my celiac disease) was some of the best I'd ever had anywhere, and my husband raves about it too.
