Villa Review - Casa Luna (long!)
We rented Casa Luna through Carefree Getaways and they were great at supplying information and answering all my questions. We were able to stop by for a visit back in January to get a better look before our June trip. We were pleasantly surprised - especially by the amazing views to the BVI's and to Coral Bay.
Once we arrived, all of our questions and concerns were handled by VIVA Vacations and they were incredibly prompt with everything. We called and left a message on a Sunday to request that someone come to look at the hot tub - it was not clean, and someone came by on Monday. One of our Styrofoam coolers broke and we called to request a new one - we received one the next day (and it wasn't Styrofoam!). We also had mid-week maid service which was included at no extra cost.
We rented two minivans from Dependable on STT and had no problems at all with the driveway or with driving anywhere on St. John.
The house consists of three levels. The first includes a pool deck and hot tub, a wonderful patio complete with chairs for taking in the view and a bar area built in under the house. It is really cute and we thought we would get a lot of use out of it but didn't. There are also several cabinets which store pool toys for guests to use. The house also has a carport type parking area built in under the 1st floor with an outdoor shower for rinsing off. There were about ten beach chairs but some were broken so check them before you carry them to the beach. The villa also came with two coolers, but they were they Styrofoam type and not easy to bring along although we did. The smaller of the two broke after the second day and was promptly replaced with a new "real" cooler.
The first floor of the house is accessed by two stairways, one to the back (Coral Bay) and one along the front (BVI view). The front one includes a covered porch with a few chairs to take in the view and a screened in porch with a table and chairs. We never used this area although it looked very nice.
The lower level has a living room with a refrigerator, sink, microwave and cabinets. There are two couches and a built in entertainment center with a TV and many books. I don't know if there was a stereo on this level or not. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on this floor and one of the bathrooms includes the washer and dryer. Since the washer and dryer were in the attached bathroom of one of the bedrooms, it wasn't very convenient for our large group but we were happy to have it.
The upstairs level is accessed via an outdoor stairway and the decking goes all the way around the house. The upstairs includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living room, dining room and kitchen. The porch is well furnished and offers amazing views that we enjoyed each day. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cookware but could have used more glasses to accommodate everyone. The living room included a TV, small stereo system, a DVD player, some DVD's, lots of books and some games.
Overall, we really liked this villa, it gave us lots of space to spread out and the breezes kept the bugs away and kept us cool. Each of the bedrooms is air conditioned which was a nice plus and there was a safe in one bedroom on each level. The only complaints we have were the coolers weren't really easy to take to the beach - Styrofoam with no handles and the tops kept blowing off in the wind. The doors to the upstairs bedrooms were incredibly squeaky and we worried about waking others in the morning! Otherwise, we were very pleased with Casa Luna and our service from Carefree Getaways and VIVA Vacations.

I'd be happy to answer any questions! And if anyone can tell me how to post this under villa reviews, I'd be happy to do so - couldn't figure it out!

Tracy, look up at the top left of the page. There is a blue bar that says "villa rentals." On the drop down menu, select "St. John villa rentals." Scroll aaalllllll the way to the bottom of the review page, and there is a link that will bring you to the form to fill out with your review.
There's probably an easier way to get there, but I have not figured it out.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
