SO LOVES the Olympus 1030SW - especially that it can go down to 30ft instead of 10ft.

Here are some pictures from my Olympus 1030 before it died...I'll include "raw" from the camera and also after doing automatic color adjustment on my computer:

You may want to check out the trip reports I have posted so far. All of the beach and underwater shots were taken with my 790. My future trip reports (there are a few more to come where the beach and underwater shots will also be taken mostly with the Olympus 790)

We just got (literally yesterday) the 770SW after much online research by my hubby. He wanted something he could actually dive with. Though it says it goes to 30 feet he found reviews by divers who had taken it to 60-70 feet and had no problems.

Its not super duper fancy but for the money I think its a great deal. We'll have some pix to share soon. 43 days and counting!!!

We took the 1030 with us in May & got all the way out to Waterlemon.....got 3 shots....& it shut down. Yes it was a leak even though everything was completely sealed to the best of our knowledge. When we got home called Olympus....they said ship it to them; it was taken care of (it was a defect) & shipped us a new one & it works beautifully!

We took our other Nikon digital point/shoot with us on this trip for backup...just in case. So glad we did.

We love the Olympus & they fixed it in a timely manner.
