I'm singing the theme from "Annie" and packing! I laid everything out on the bed and then put some things back. Okay, it was just one pair of flip flops and one pair of shorts. That's the best that this newbie can do. I might "need" the other stuff!

15 year old daughter is experiencing some angst--I just now told her that she won't have cell phone access on island.

She's in her room frantically texting everyone she knows. I let her take an extra pair of flip flops and another "cute" skirt to make up for the loss. I've already warned her that she is not to use the "b" word in any derivation. Not "I'm bored", "This is boring!", etc. This includes heavy sighing. . .I do, however, allow eye rolling.

Hubby is packing his drawing pencils and sketch pad. I haven't seen the man draw for pleasure in years, but he's planning on relaxing on STJ. This I gotta see!

I promise a newbie trip report when we get back and hopefully some great photos with my new Olympus 850. Later!

Have a great time! I can't wait to hear all about it. I have one of those drama queens too. I'm planning on taking her and my boys along next time, so I really enjoy the trip reports with teens. Have fun!

I know you all will have a great time. We have 15-year-old, too. She's been with us before and she loves it. Sure wish we were going to be on island at the same time. She's brought along friends in the past, but hasn't had any luck finding anyone this trip. Can we borrow yours?

Guess she's just going to be stuck with the old parents this time. Have big fun and we'll look forward to your TR.
