Baby-moon!
Baby-moon!
Well, I wasn't banking on my next STJ fix until November (we skipped our April trip to go skiing and dog sledding in British Columia in February). But my hubby and I have had a deal that when I got pregnant, at 4-5 months he'd treat me to a 2-week STJ and BVI vacation. I'm 10 weeks already so it looks like we'll be paradise bound late this summer. Kinda like the honeymoon, but before the baby comes!
Trip highlights to include Virgin Gorda for a few days (and maybe a day trip to Anagada...I've always wanted to see the beaches there), maybe a night or two on Jost and then finally STJ. I want to do it up since it may be a year or so until we'll be able to resume our annual or bi-annual trips.
Ladies...anyone snorkled when they were pregnant? Wondering if it will make me more bouyant? LOL!
Also (men included on this question!), has anyone done a day trip to Anagada from Gorda? I'll have to do my research on that one. Thanks!

If you don't take risks, you'll have a wasted soul.
Congratulations!!
We baby-mooned before each of our 2 kids and I was around 7 months each time. At that point your belly is getting pretty uncomfortable and baby kicks you most of the time and snorkeling was a WONDERFUL break from both. In the water you can't feel the extra weight at all and both my kids got so relaxed that I almost never felt them move (even on the hour+ snorkels). I highly recommend a tropical baby-moon to anyone I know.
(Just make sure to drink extra-extra water so you don't get dehydrated, it can happen fast and getting an IV at the clinic should not be on your list of must-dos on vacation!!)

A day trip from VG to Anegada is a piece of cake. The ferry runs a few days a week; we stayed at Guavaberry and Tina or Val made our reservation.
From the dock we walked to the Reef Hotel and caught a taxi to Loblolly Bay/Big Bamboo where we spent the day.
Congrats on the new little one on the way -

Thanks! I actually was unknowingly 3 weeks pregnant or so when we met up last time for drinks! Think the little one is going to come out liking key lime martinis. For now, its virgin lime & cocounts and painkillers! Hope you're doing well, and sounds like a plan to catch up for dinner soon!
