My Trip Report (really) Day Whatever
Big Day today. It was our anniversary and our day with Capt John. We woke up and it was a little cloudy and rainy but we had high hopes for the day. We made a nice big breakfast and packed the cooler and met Capt John at the National Park Dock.
I am pretty sure that after the tough 2 days of flying, our friends could not have been happier to see that boat. (I am sure you have all seen the video already)
After a bit of paperwork and cooler packing we were on our way. Capt John is just great. He took us along the North Shore and pointed out really interesting stuff to the newbies. We stopped by the trail to Waterlemon for some snorkeling and it was great. Turtles and huge sea fans, parrotfish, queen angel(?), and a thousand more that I don't know. I will spare you all the underwater pics, they are not as great as the snorkeling was.
We headed over to Sopers Hole to check in and then stopped at Smuggler's Cove. I had never been there before and we swam to shore to enjoy a cocktail made in a blender with power from a car battery.

We headed over to Sandy Spit and sat in the surf just taking it all in and then walked around and headed back to the boat.

We had lunch at Foxy's (no Foxy) which was very good and then headed over to Ivan's. We just relaxed for a while, our friend took a power nap in the hammock and we were off to Soggy Dollar.

Soggy Dollar was packed but Capt John has connections and we had drinks in no time. There was a group that chartered 2 boats for a pre-wedding party and there were people everywhere so we walked down to Seddy's for a quiet drink or two.

We headed back to STJ and checked into customs and said our goodbye to Capt John.
We went back to the house and cleaned up and admired the lovely red hue of my back. I had applied and re-applied sunscreen to every part of my body except my back. It was not a pretty site.
We decided on dinner at Morgan's since Mark Wallace was playing and it was 2 for one Margaritas. Dinner was really good and we had great dinner neighbors, San Diego Mark and Jean who so nicely took a picture of us

We were all exhausted from the sun and the fun so we headed home and right to bed.
We had a perfect day. Thanks Capt John!!!

So... this blender on the beach...is that part of Capt. John's setup? Very cool! I like it!![]()
It is not part of John's set up but it is the perfect place to stop.
He made me a drink with strawberry, banana, papaya, passion fruit and rum!!!

I could not agree more. He is just a good guy, I think that is what makes the day so wonderful. I felt like I was hanging out with a friend all day. Next time, I really will be!bayer40601 wrote:Without disparaging anyone else, isn't Capt John just the greatest guy. Aside from his boat and his boating skills, he is just great to hang out with. Can't wait until July 30.
Happy belated anniversary X! Since my new career seems to be writer, I am having a hard time reading all these great reports. Trying to catch up!
A day on the water is sooo much fun! We did a charter with Capt. Trueman of Flyaway. One of our funnest days ever!
I like the pic of the four of you at dinner. Could you even imagine your friends Honey without his stache?
