San Juan River

Post by Chet »

Just returned from a week on the San Juan River in southern Utah. This was not a guided trip. A good time was had by all. Three rafts, kayaks, inflatables...there are no rules on the river. Two new drinks from folks who know how to party off the grid:
1. A squeeze of Hershey's syrup and a shot of schnapps - tastes just like a Peppermint Pattie
2. Pour a small shot of Makers Mark on the top of a cold beer can - boilermakers

Here are some of the pix from the river and side canyon hikes.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Great pics!! We've houseboated many times on Lake Powell. After STJ it's our fav vacation spot. We spred some of the ashes of a dear friend at Rainbow Bridge (the other half at Solomon Beach in STJ) so it's a place close to our hearts. Thanks for sharing.
