I have no first hand experience but I do know someone who stayed there wasn't thrilled with the construction noise nearby. Not sure if it was an overreaction on her part or truly that bad. Regardless, I would ask the agency for a read on it.

Hi, Bug,

I was there the beginning of May and loved it (another forumite was there 2 weeks after and her trip report was up too but I can't remember who it was). We had NO problem at all with construction. It was a GREAT villa! Gorgeous views (sunsets are fabulous), nice furniture, the two bedrooms are private from one another - AC in the bedrooms. The kitchen was stocked with the basics, beach chairs, cooler, towels, etc. We had one issue that the towels would smell moldy but that was because we weren't hanging them in an open ventilated place to dry. There was a nice bose speaker system that we hooked our ipod up to and sirius satellite radio (we had service so that was great). Easy to park - nice pool. Sun pretty much all day - a bit hot in the late afternoon but we would hange in the pool and be fine. Any other questions?

I'm always curious about the pool at this place. It looks so tiny to me. Were you just 2 at the villa?

Hi, Mary Beth,
There were 4 of us. The pool is not huge - really only big enough for one person to float around and the others to sit on the ledge or by the perimeter. We tended to only use it at the end of the day - honestly, it was perfect for us. I think it looks smaller online than it really is.

We've stayed there twice (May 2007, June 2008) and we absolutely adore it. Prior to our most recent trip I had read about the construction noise, so I was a little nervous about that. Honestly, in the week we were there I think I heard the beeping sound of a truck backing up once... maybe twice. That was it. Although we were gone most mornings from 8am/9am through 1pm/2pm... so maybe the noise is in the mornings. That's the only explanation I can come up with. But we had zero problems with construction.

The pool is pretty small, but it's perfect for 2 people. The deck is heavenly.
