We have spent an inordinate amount of time on a new project for an old friend and probably our longest standing client - Donald Schnell. They were one of the first people to advertise on our site, and we finally have finished (almost!) a re-design of their website: http://www.donaldschnell.com/
There is more work to do, but the look and feel is pretty much done, and it is live. Let me know what you think -
Thanks,

it looks like the link on the left side that says "The Studio" doesn't do anything.

edited to say - maybe that's only from the home page

It's is a much better site then he had but even still hard to appreciate the things in his studio without visiting. It's odd also that some things are priced and some not. any reason for that?

Yes - the studio site still needs a lot of work on the content. They wanted to get the villas live and that was the focus. We have a lot of work to do with the pottery still.

cool. I like it.
Tell your client that availability calendars are key to those shopping for villas :)

Another good point - I will (though I am sure they will read it here).

It would be nice if on the villa compare page if you could link the names to there page so as you compare you can just click on the one you want to check out

Tom beat me to it. I'm with him. It would be great to be able to get back to the main page for a particular villa from the price comparison chart.

Also, I will chalk this up to "you're not finished yet" but there are no prices on the ceramic bowls/serving pieces, and I'd love to see bigger pictures of some of them. I also want to see that art glass jellyfish better! I would definitely like to order from this website! Bring it on! :D

Much improved over the old site.

Lots of "white" space on the studio pages; assume more info (more pics or pricing) is coming.

When clicking "rates & inquiries" from a villa page, it would be nice if you were brought directly to the rates for that villa rather than the top of the page.

Very nice!

The site looks great - But, I wish all the villas had rates included, not just some. It makes me immediately think that if I need to conatact them, then I definitely can't afford those ones!

Also, I know it says the 8% tax is extra somewhere, but it would be better to include that clearly on each villa rental. I like to know exactly what the rate is and whether the 8% is inlcuded or not.

I LOVE the pottery and art pieces too.....!

Just a thought for the studio side of the site:

I remember marveling at one of the fountains in his studio the first time I visited - the water moved so nicely and made such a melodic sound - - it would be great if there was a little video with sound (establishing shot and a zoom, maybe) of one of the medium or larger size fountains that would capture those features. Maybe part of this video could be made the opening link - water is obviously such a big part of STJ...

I think you need a HOME link for once you move from the home page. Not sure if that was what Margo was saying above or not.

When I'm looking at a particular villa and I click rates, I think I only want to see the rates for that villa - not the full rate page again. Same for guest comments.

Great site! I would love to know how much the Beach Estate Villa. Then again, maybe the prices aren't listed because they are so high!
