Trip Report part 3
Thursday, June 5th
There are no cruise ships on the schedule, so we wanted to try Trunk. We loaded up our coolers and we all met there. I am sure that we were a sight with all of our rafts, snorkel gear and huge coolers as we hauled it all the way down the beach. Some of the group wanted to stop at the first open spot of beach, but I wanted to check and see if the area over by the rocks was vacant (thanks to forum tips
). They actually did stop and start spreading out their things, as my sister in law and I ran ahead to check it out. Well, no one was there and we thought it was the perfect place for us to set up, so we motioned to the others and ended up spending most of the day there.

The boys, less one ... he went for a run and got lost for a while.

Some of us did a little snorkeling around the left, towards Jumbie.
Purple Sea Fan

A few did the trail.
We intended to call Tim from Big Belly Deli to place a big order of ribs, but we let time get away from us and forgot to call until too late. We spent most of the day at Trunk, then everyone went back to our villa for drinks and carry out from Uncle Joe's BBQ. There was lots of food, but we must have been famished. We ate most of it, and there wasn't much conversation being had.

It's nice because it is like your own private beach. It kind of separates you from the other people on Trunk. There is also some good snorkeling nearby.LMarie wrote:Enjoying your TR so far, Thanks!
We did not get to visit Trunk on our last trip, but are planning to this time. What's special about setting up near the rocks on the beach?
Thanks!
