A Perfect Summer Night

Post by sailorgirl »

The first day of summer...James Taylor concert at Jones Beach.. The view from the cheap seats was spectacular. The ocean to the south, the bay to the north with boats bobbing at anchor hoping to hear the show for free... sun went down, moon rose over the stage and JT just gets better as the years go by. If you have a chance to catch him this summer, do it!

Im still smiling :-)

I know, he mentioned how you two keep missing each other and wanted to know why Bruce gets all the love
:-)

He's at Tanglewood next over the 4th and then it looks like he swings through Canada and the west coast.

PS my new leased car came with sirrius free for 90 days, you do know there is an all Bruce all the time channel, right?

well if you mean our May trip we ended up not getting much of a vacation. Charlie's sister passed away May 19th and it was pretty sudden and a shock to all of us. We were in Lake George, where she lived, from the 19th til the 24th and then we did head to Wells and stayed near my sister for 2 nights. We were supposed to be on vacation the entire week but we ended up going home after 2 nights. We just weren't in vacation mode if you know what I mean.

But we are due to head up again on July 10th. I am in desperate need of a vacation I can surely tell you.

I hope you both get a chance to get out of town and recharge.

Thanks, appreciate it. It's been a rough year so far but that one put me right over the top. Don't think I was ever so shocked by a death in my life.

Anyway, enjoy your Maine trip as well! Maine's a good place for the soul - I can't wait to get there :D

I'm going to see JT over the 4th at Tanglewood. We went last year and it was a great show. It was such a de ja vu moment; I hadn't done that since my early twenties. (Marybeth, sorry for your loss.) Have fun in Maine. Ali~

We saw JT in late May herein Raleigh. good show...bad weather. It was 50 and raining up on the lawn. We've seen him at least 8-10 times.

I love JT and have always wanted to go to one of his concerts.
We went to see the Eagles in Charlottesville in May and they were awesome!
