Has anyone had the opportunity to try out the new Asian /Caribbean Monday Night Buffet at Caneel?

Yes we ate at the Grand Buffet on Monday, May 26th and it was very good and is a very nice sunset setting. Unless it has changed since then, I do not really think of it as having an Asian influence.

Was there about a month ago. Okay exactly 39 days ago, not that I'm counting....

It's pricey but worth it in my opinion, between the live music, the beautiful setting, and the food. Some pics from May:

Vicki - Your pictures are great - I might change my mind about where to celebrate our anniversary when we are on St. John next year. I had pretty much decided on Zozo's until I saw your pictures! Does Caneel offer a buffet every night or just Monday? Was it crowded? What about the dress code - can my husband wear nice shorts and a polo shirt?

Thanks.

Monday only on the buffet and yes on the shorts. Charlie wore nice shorts and a Hawaiian type shirt.

Just spoke with the concierge at Caneel and was informed that the Monday Night Buffet is now themed, alternating weekly between local cuisine, seafood, and Mediterranean. The price is $69/pp and they suggest that you make reservations.

Your pictures look like a professional foodie magazine! What kind of camera do you have? And, now, of course, I am hungry too!

CruzBayB - It's a Canon Rebel Xti. Liamsaunt is my food photo inspiration. Because of her, I find myself taking lots of food pics. :D

Ditto MB. I think the buffet was $69 last month and nice causal clothing is perfectly ok.
