Jost trip

Post by sillymom »

We are wanting to Have a day ovewr on the Jost . There is 7 of us going. Does anyone recommend a charter for us to take? Last year we took the ferry ,but really wanted something that may give us a tour as well. Any help would be much appreciated.

We love Captain Kevin and Born to Rhumb (borntorhumb.com). We have spent a day with him on our last 3 trips and it is always a fabulous time!

A lot of the private charters can only take up to 6 people.

We really liked Born to Rhumb in February. Boat size, it holds 12, was one of the deciding factors for us. We had 6 and there was plenty of room to spread out.

Just remember it isn't the size of the boat it is the captains licence that tell how many he can hual. A 6 pack is the easiest and cheapest to get.

I give a third vote for Born to Rhumb. His boat holds 12 and is very comfortable. He stocks it with water, beer, soda and painkillers. He has a mate and both are great! Have a great day on the water.

It seems to be the problem we are having is most only hold 6 people. Also is it possible to Go to the Baths and to the Jost on the same day? Thanks for all your help.

Last year we had 7 poeple and used Ocean Runner with a captain. Ocean Runner does not provide any sncaks or beverages. We have used Ocean Runner 2 times and have been pleased. Last year we went to both the Baths and Jost in the same day. We stopped for a snorkel at monkey point on the way from Baths to Jost. It is doable, but you spend alot of time in transit. One more thing that hurt was how much gas we used. I cant imagine how much that gas would be this year.

This year we have 6 people and are using Lion in da Sun. I see this one being the more conventional Indians, Willy T and Jost trip.

You will have fun whatever you decide to do.

Sleehog, you will love Josh and Lion in da Sun! They are great too and their boat is a much smoother ride than the Oceanrunners. Please tell Josh that Nancy B (aka the stalker) says 'hi' - he'll know who I am.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for all the advice. I called Born to Rhumb ,and he is going up to see his wife the week we will be there. He suggested Ocean Runner and we have decided to book with them . I will be asking tons of questions in the near future. Not our first trip ,but still alot of unknown. Thanks again.
