Wow!I have an incredible draw to Upper Carolina, as that was where we stayed our first 2 trips to STJ. Your pictures gave me goose bumps. I'm going to pull up my first shots from the deck and compare both how many more house there are above Love City Mini-Mart, and how many more boats there are in the harbor.
Thanks for the thrill!

When you find yourself in a hole.... quit digging.
Great job pickle
I get motion sickness pretty easy too. I get jealous watching my honey read when I drive, although the bugs love her and don't touch me. English really is your second language WOW you would never know. It's my first but you would think it's my third the way I write. Thats why my reports are so picture heavy.Keepem coming

I was going to tell you that later when I talk about some sushi I had at Happy Fish. Now you know where I was born.sherban wrote:Pickle- Thanks for sharing...glad to hear you got better...looking forward to more report and photos.

I just got around to reading this report and glad I did.
My sister is coming with us next trip and she too gets the motion sickness. I'm avoiding mentioning the ferry or the roads until time gets closer! She knows she has to take a ferry but I know she's not really thinking about it now.
My first trip was my honeymoon and the night before we left I woke up with the worst ear ache. Can't say i have ever had an ear ache in my life - not even as a kid! I spent a good deal of the vacation running out of the ocean to blow my nose!
Oh well - still the greatest trip ever!

villa location
Blue Palm looks wonderful. Our son is renting it this winter. We are staying in Upper Carolina on Majestic Mile at the same time. What "street" is Blue Palm on?

Re: villa location
Blue Palm is located on Ironwood Road, which runs below Majestic Mile and above Centerline Rd. I think the villa is a bargain for the price especially in season.MarianneS wrote:Blue Palm looks wonderful. Our son is renting it this winter. Your report is lovely as are your pictures!!
I hope I can help with the motion sickness. I suffered from motion sickness for the first time from day one of my second pregnancy.(32 years old) It stayed with me and my daughter also gets motion sickness(23 years now). I have used the motion sickness wrist bands available in most drug stores. I have used them on planes, boats & cars. It is an acupuncture point on your wrists. Works like a charm with no drugs ( they put me to sleep for hours).
Try them & enjoy the ride!

Hello Pickle,
Thanks for the street information. I had thought it might be Ironwood. I emailed my son and daughter-in-law and told them to check out your post. Your pictures just add to the anticipation for our trip.
