That's fine with me, STJ is getting too crowded!

I think I'd be upset if it were first on the list :)

You got it Waterguy!!

I think I'd be happier if we not on th list at ALL!!

I say all this tongue in cheek.

From a business stand point I think this is a good thing.

But from a forum standpoint and as a regular visitor I'd much prefer that STJ be like that island in that DiCaprio movie "The Beach" where people need and actual map to get there and you're only given the coordinates by word of mouth and only if they think yo're cool enough and then the person who tells has to die ;-)

KIDDING!! (sort of)

What a weird list. Having been to 6 of the 10 locations noted, I can say that I never care to see three of them ever again. Methinks the tourism boards of various islands are behind this list. I mean, Freeport? C'mon, have you been there?

Agree with ALW...don't care if I ever see a few of the places on list again...of course that doesn't apply to STT or STJ...can't imagine not seeing them again.

I am reminded once again of a famous quote from the NYY philosopher/Hall of Famer Yogi Berra:

"Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."
When we come to place where the sea and the sky collide
Throw me over the edge and let my spirit glide

I've been to 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 and I am with whoever said this list is nuts.

Freeport definitly doesn't belong on my top 100 places to go again ... much less top 10!

Doh, I thought you were saying you thought STJ should be number 1!

I agree, I don't want to see it on any list either.

This is just Tripadvisor rolling up all of their reviews by location. Cruz Bay gets ALL of the review points for St. John ditto the other island capitals. Tripadvisor is a pretty weird site with more "I hit St. John once and I'm not going back, the Westin beach sucks" reviews than I though possible. The participants with a clue tend to be folks who lurk every STJ site.

TripAdvisor: We don't Get It.

Preach it Rick!

Horribly negative reports on TripAdvisor almost ruined my wedding/honeymoon trip to Antigua. I was reading all of this "stuff" prior to our trip and was becoming very worried until some very nice lady contacted me privately and told me to ignore all of it. She was right. Where we stayed was wonderful and so was the wedding.

I love this forum, because everyone is honest...yet they don't constantly bash every little thing. It's the Islands Mon...Chill...It's all good. ESPECIALLY in St. J. 8)

Having been to all of them I would highly recommend Freeport. I would avoid Cruz Bay at all costs.

I use to like it when I said "I love St. John" and
people would always said "it's too hard to get to" or "they don't have a airport or all-inclusives"

This is one of those topics where local businesspeople and visitors might have completely opposite opinions.

Not to worry Ruth...that ship has sailed...just about everybody I talk to about St Thomas and St John already has knowledge about how the USVI are just about the best place in the world to vacation! I'm usually a walking, talking ad myself and love to share!
