Airfare help- negotiating the BEST airfare

Post by Gromit »

I mentioned this issue in another post-- the fact that the lowest airfare available may not always be your best bet.

These days you have to consider how much luggage you'll be taking, what it weighs and other factors depending on your lifestyle and travel habits.

Add in FF mile purchases and the extra fees that go along with that and you pretty much need a masters degree in math to help you figure out what really is the BEST deal.

Here's a great article with links to Airfarewatchdog.com and their new charts to help you negotiate all of the new fees and to determine what your BEST deal to STT really is:

We all do carry-on only on this forum so no worries for us

I think I should get $25 back for every first bag I don't check. Hubby, 2 kids and I are going in August and I am HELL BENT on checking no more than 1 bag! 3 tickets ... I should get $25 back per ticket ;) Right....
