Warning June 14th Trunk Bay Invasion

Post by Bill in Va »

Yo...Just a heads up for you folks that will be on island on the 14th. My company is bringing a couple hundred folks over to St John for the day and will be at Trunk for a BIG picnic. Be gentle, these are Allstate agents that will turn on you in a New York second and try to sell you a policy....That is all...God bless.....Bill

Ok , so now I feel better about my 300+ increase in my policy because hubby slide on ice into a pole at 20mph. :( At least when it comes out of my STJ savings it goes to someone going to STJ.

Ah, no wonder my policy ending up being twice as much as they quoted and 5 phone calls later I STILL can't get it resolved.
Anyway, have a great time!

Apologies in advance to Bill for this one but -- in case of hurricane, I wonder if they have Trip Insurance? ;-)

I hope none of them get injured and have to try to collect from Allstate. They might be waiting a long time.

I need to put my 2 cents in here. My husband works for Cox Communications and he also won a trip - to St. Thomas (in fact, that's how I discovered St. John!). Both he and I got razzed and razzed about "oh, that's why my cable bill is so high!"

I have to tell you folks, these guys who win trips from their companies win them because they work their a$$es off all year long under stress like you wouldn't believe to get their "numbers" up.

So if you don't mind, please be kind to Bill, he and his colleagues have obviously worked very hard to earn this trip and you guys ragging on him about Allstate and not getting any satisfaction on your claim or whatever just isn't cool.

I'm quite sure that Allstate and Cox don't hike their prices so they can reward their employees. I'm in the incentive business and I know how it works. More companies should incentivize their employees.

Yo...I have thick skin after 29 years. Appreciate your right on input. It was a year long goal. Be commission only, no sale no pay. Don't think most folks could deal with that....No company is perfect...I wish my commissions had gone up as much as the gas prices...God bless....Bill

These folks work hard so that your premium doesn't skyrocket. Bill...I hope you truly enjoy your stay. We just ran into a convention of State Farm people at the St. Regis in Aspen...very enjoyable group and had great conversation with them. With all the weather related disasters, who can afford to live without insurance? There was much sand bagging along the Roaring Fork River to protect houses from flooding.

After all the storms that rolled through here in Va, I'm sure you are going to have some people wanting to buy more insurance soon, that will pay for your December trip! Have a great time. Wish we were going too.

Florida – Insurance, now that’s an oxymoron.

Have a great trip Bill – I’m sure it’s well deserved.

A couple of hundred Allstate agents on St. John downing Painkillers and Bushwackers – I’m taking bids for Homeowners Insurance in Florida.
