Does anyone have any experience in changing FF tickets? I checked my schedule, and it has changed so that we now arrive in STT at 9:00 p.m. from Miami. I would most like to get on an earlier flight, or fly in the night before and stay in STT. In checking the online FF schedule, neither is available. I'm wondering if they would accommodate my request. Probably not.........

Thanks

Spirit Air is dropping STT as of 9/2. I THOUGHT it was for hurricane season but NOOOO  they are flying to STT on Saturdays only after 9/2. The connections to STT on American are much less friendly after 9/3. Last week on a San Juan connection AA was overbooked and apparently that is not unusual. They were offering a free night at the new Western attached to the airport and casino. They were also offering a $350 voucher for 1 year. Next time we connect thru San Juan our eyes and schedule will be looking for that deal!

Good News. I called AA this morning and successfully changed my FF flights to the early arrival from DFW to STT even though website showed no FF flights available. We now arrive at 3:25 p.m. instead of 9:05 p.m. YEAH! I was on the phone for 30+ minutes, but it was worth it. Thank you for encouraging me to call.

excellent news Cook. I think if AA can accommodate you, they will 100% of the time (but i do think they bank on people not finding out until they get to the airport when nothing can be done about it). they changed our 1pm arrival to a 6pm arrival all in the form of a longer layover. When i called they took out one of our two layovers and put us in at 12, a full hour earlier than we expected in the first place. instead of LAX>FTL>SJU>STT it's LAX>JFK>STT Yay for AA. Proves the point that, to get what you want you just need to ask!

Just wanted to say thanks to Gromit for letting us know about the AA changes through SJU. We had booked a while back for our Nov. trip and were going thru SJU. Seems AA has stopped all non-stop flights from Orlando to SJU so they booked us on a flight from MCO-MIA-SJU-STT....and 12 hours of travel time....from FL! Luckily there were 4 available seats on a MCO-MIA-STT flight so we ended up being able to switch. If I had not read this post then we would have been in for a horrible travel day.

Thanks again :D
