Hey there X...WOW in just a few more hours we're down to only 3 more days!! :D

Okay, so I'm trying to go by your recent packing list post...well, good news is I'm down to 4 each of the main clothes; shorts, shirts, 2 bathing suits...and NO shoes except for a few pairs of flips
But, I am having one last problem that I can't shake...WHY on earth am I ironing before I pack???
I can't stand wrinkled clothes! Anyone else have this problem??!! :?

I have to say thanks to all of you that had all the packing tips...I'm happy to say I'm learning

Lucky duck, have a wonderful trip, and post a report when you are back, please! :D

PS: Is the red tide affecting you down there in CT? No clams is killing me! I was just wondering if you were going to be able to being Ruth her steamers. All the clams being sold here are Canadian! Nothing against Canada, but our MA clams taste better. :x

(In the interest of being fair, I must note that Canada wins for best tasting mussels.)
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Oh, Kathy, kindred spirit! Are you going to iron now and on island, or do you have your obsession more under control than I do? :)

I called my local fish market and he will have steamers waiting for me at the end of the day on Friday. I didn't think to ask where they are from, but I am guessing Ruth will enjoy them just the same.

We picked some up in Maine last weekend and they were from Canada and Chip said they were wonderful.

 Oh my Shari, I'm glad I'm not the only one!
If I was bringing "dress-up" clothes Yes I would be giving 'em a quick steam...But no dress this trip. So I've got it half way under control

Kathy~
I have everything all ironed and packed and we don't even leave until Monday.

My packing list is almost identical to yours, only I have a Neat Sheet and beach sneakers packed also. Also packed a skirt in case we go to church on island. :D

Going to take our grandson swimming tomorrow for him to practice with snorkel and mask. I wish there was a way for us to practice driving on those roads before we go.

Hope to meet some forum folks on the 15th!

Flip Flop and I are heading to the Delaware beaches for some beach time this week-end.

I think we're gonna print out small photos of the view from Jumbie and glue them to the inside of our sunglasses and try to pretend we're on STJ.

Well at least we'll have our toes in the sand!!

The things we do to cope....
*Another fine scatterbrained production

Ruth won't care where the steamers come from.
Also, I haven't touched my iron in years. I have two, but I'm not even quite sure where they are at the moment. I have convinced myelf that we have just the right amount of humidity to take most of the wrinkles out.
See you soon, XIG!
