Go Sox!!
Go Sox!!
Hi all,
Spent the weekend in Baltimore watching the Sox play the O's. We spent two nights in the hotel where the Sox stayed. Didn't think I would be so star struck, but I was. Rode the elevator with Bartolo Colon, saw Coco Crisp, Alex Cora and Tony Francona in the bar and watched Mike Timlin, Julio Lugo and J.D. Drew walk thru the lobby. Our friends saw Jason Varitek this morning at Panera Bread. We were checking out a little before noon and saw Jacoby Ellsbury just standing in the lobby waiting for his taxi to Camden Yards. Totally cool.
Did a little browsing at the Baltimore's Inner Harbor and saw this lamp.

Also, here's a small bowl I found at a pottery shop in Gettysburg. A turtle is etched on the bottom:

Lucky you! Not only did you get to see some of the players but you got to see #500. That must have been exciting. They say that if you can't see the Sox in Boston the best place to go is Camden yards. If you look at the last page of the "show your pet" you will see our new lab named Tessie. As a Sox fan you are probably familiar with the song by the Drop Kick Murphy's.
I was told by my rabid Red Sox fan husband that Camden Yards is Fenway South. Yes, #500 was amazing. Cheers and flashes all around.
Here is a sign we saw at a church right outside the ball field:

We've been in MD for about 10 years now and try to catch the Sox for 1 game of each series when they are in town. So many Sox fans at Camden Yards it’s is almost like a home game. Our boys are at tonight's game (their first big trip alone together), hopefully to witness the conclusion of a 4-game sweep. Our front porch of our Maryland home:
