American Airlines!

Post by STJBride »

If you fly AA, what did you pay for tickets? If you don't mind me asking? I know it all depends on what airport, etc... we are flying from STL (St. Louis) to STT. We grabbed ours through Hotwire.com, it was the best deal we found after searching for hours, for several days!

We purchased our tickets on May 9th and we got them for $476.80 a person x3 = $1430.40 - Not bad compared to the $700 and some the same tickets are going for now! I am so glad we bought them when we did!

OMG!!! Your post prompted me to check on the Delta flight I purchased less than a week ago-- the SAME flight is now $820!!!! Now my $480 doesn't seem so bad!!

Prices are always higher on Mondays. I guess it's because the airlines know people are regrouping on Mondays and making plans for travel. Delta plays seem very interesting games from day to day with their fares. I've found Wednesdays are usually a better day.

That $480 prices werethere every day last week at all hours of the day or night. I'll be interested to check again later in the week.

But with AA and Spirit cutting back I'm betting the price stays high.

Just paid $600 for flights. We saved the 200 extra it would have been because we are taking a Cessna from San Juan to STT.

Whats going on with AA changing flights??? I just got a notification email stating my flights have all changed. I leave 15 min. later but arrive 1 hr earlier than original flights. So its not all to bad I guess.

$318/RT from LAX to STT with one connection in NYC

I think we got the west coast deal of the century. Last I looked, the RT flight from NYC to STT was $380  and it's probably double/triple that now!

I just got our tickets today! We live in Madison and the tickets to STT are over $700 each, yikes! However, we are driving 2 hours to Chicago and I got them for just over $350 each! yay!

How long ago did you get those tickets? And they're on American? Great price!

I believe october, and yes they are AmericanAirlines. It is the primary reason we decided to go to STJ at first versus Hawaii (which we regularly go to for the same airfare). I had looked into the VI earlier but airfare was always outrageous, then blam found that fare and booked!

you got me thinking and i went to expedia to see if the EXACT flights were still available....they were...(well if you consider that price "Avaliable")

$2213/RT for two passengers.

which is MORE than $200 higher than the price we paid for villa AND airfare.

gotta love finding a deal :)
