WOW! Excellent Job! I thought 17th Hole had a great great report..........but I think you got him! You seem to love snorkeling as much as we do!! It seems that is all we do snorkel, eat, and drink then repeat for the whole vacation. 18 days on St. John what a vacation! Absolutely loved the pictures!

Thanks for the fantastic report!

Using a lot of !!!! but your report deserves them!!!

I don't think it was a Mako shark. I am petrified of Makos because of their curvy teeth that stick out. I saw the snout of the shark before it turned away (I was just too shocked to take a picture!). It did not have any visible teeth. Blacktips are bulkier than reef sharks, which is why I settled on that as the ID. I definitely could be wrong though!

I saw them not too far from shore--maybe 50 feet out? For people familiar with Turtle Bay beach, they were about halfway out on the rocks that form the point on the left side of the beach, as you look at the water.

MaryBeth, I'll pm you on the wines. 8)

I'm going to pretend it was a harmless nurse shark! Otherwise, I'd be too scared to go snorkeling ever again. It is a pretty cool picture, though!

I, too, completely enjoyed reading your trip reports. I am so impressed that you have the energy to cook such fabulous meals after being at the beach snorkeling! I am always so tired and ready to sink into a chair with a frozen drink and let someone else cook, serve and clean for me!!!

Hi Becky & John,

Your vacation seemed awesome through your TR! John you're one lucky guy to have such a lady that LOVES to cook...and on vacation even!! I'm afraid to share your TR with hubs cuz he'll be expecting a LOT more from me  !!

I admit though you've stirred up a lil' bit of motivation for a few dinners for my upcoming trip

Anyway, thanks soo much for all the photos and for sharing your vacation.
Enjoyed seeing the shot of you two...nice looking couple.

How does one react when a shark is within your "space"??

Enjoy your Monday!

I finally caught up with all your installments and all I can say is AWESOME REPORT! Your food pictures, fish pictures and all the details are great! I think I can use your report to name the fishes I took pictures of! It's better than any fish identification guide I've seen!

Your turtle and octopus pictures take the prize! Remember, you can enter the CT&L photo contest until August!

Thanks for a great report, Becky! :D
