Ode to Departure

I never thought this day would come
Off we fly to have good fun
I searched and searched on where to stay
Found the perfect spot for rest and play
We'll stop for a drink to get into the vibe
Oh who am I kidding, I'll totally imbibe
Tomorrow I'll lie on a most beautiful beach
All the while a cold one will be quite within reach
We'll drive, and hike and float and boat
We'll see Donkeys and cows and mongoose and goats
I'll get my fill of sand and sun
Then when I'm fried, drink too much rum
If we like, down the road for a cruise
To Moe's place for snacks, and good talk and booze
Around, up and down a die of fright hill
For the view of a lifetime and a sign that reads chill
When it's real hot, I'll go for a swim
It does feel so good to run off on a whim
I hope the mosquitoes are not out of control
Or Ruth's racket comes out and wee heads will roll
Sharks & Jellies, please stay on your side of the sea
And for pity sakes people, don't anyone pee
It will attract them to you, I do so speak
If that were to happen, I would totally freak
Happy I'll be if scary fish stay away
So that I will snorkel again on another fine day
Through cloudy skies, rainbows, sunshine & rain
Those who don't get it must be insane
Hope to meet some of you before our traveling ends
