They hold a few tables for walk-ins but I would recommend a reservation. My husband had the rib-eye twice and the scampi was excellent. Their salads are HUGE, so you can share one. They make a killer Golden Margarita. Um..I remember having two...........

Shipwreck is like a salve for my soul. I love that place. Have never had reservations - sometimes had to wait, sometimes not, but that's what Island Time is all about!

Don't miss peanut butter pie for dessert (we often order to go and eat at home) and make sure to have a Dark and Stormy.

Island Blues (as we all know and love it) is also a very good option - really good food and nice people. Has more of a bar feel versus the restaurant feel of Shipwreck. Don't know what it will be like on re-opening though, so would recommend Shipwreck.

Since this is your first dinner on the trip, and most of us have very long travel days to get there, I would recommend that you pick up some snacks on your way to the villa or verify that there will be a welcome basket. On every trip our group has needed to nosh on a little something ASAP to keep the travel crabbies at bay. Nothing worse than waiting for food on island time when you're starving and travel weary.

Edited to add: One of the best days we ever had was one of those rare days when it rained ALL DAY. Our crew of 4 took our 2 sets of dominoes down to Shipwreck to play and sip frozen drinks ALL DAY. Locals were very interested in the game we were playing (Crow's Feet, taught to me by my grandma), but never approached us to ask about it. A most excellent place to spend a rainy day.

I am a big fan of Aqua Bistro if you looking for a nice dinner.

However, our tradition has been to go to Skinny's the first night and enjoy a great burger, a few beers, and some live music.
