Pizza Delivery

Post by turtlegirl »

We are staying at Caneel Trailside Cottage, off Centerline Rd., above Pastory Gardens. What is Pastory Gardens? May I please have pizza delivery recommendations for our first night? Thank you for answering my newbie questions!

Pastory Gardens has a restaurant called Compass Rose and a miniature golf course. We didn't eat there, but stopped and had a couple of drinks while the kids played golf. It's close to your villa and has a nice deck. I've read on other posts that the food's pretty good.

Thanks for the Ronnie's recommendation, flip-flop. pjayer, is it possible to walk to the Compass Rose? For some reason, I thought Cafe Roma was here, I'll have to research some more! If you don't mind my asking, where are you staying when you go in a month?

Pastory Gardens is completely within walking distance, about 1/2 a mile with minimum hills. You'll be able to see it from the bottom of your driveway.

Ronnie's number is 340-693-7700 and delivery takes about an hour.

Is Ronnie still delivering as his car is "out of service" (ie: got smashed up while parked:) )

Pastory is close to you but your driveway is very steep - once you have mastered walking down that it will be plain sailing - you will need flashlites to get back to your villa as it will be pitch black.

Yeah, he starts delivery at about 6:30. He must be using the Escape. Too bad about the Smart Car. Lyric has been promised a ride in it when its fixed.

I agree on the flashlights, although I've made the walk with a cell phone light before.

BTW, Pia - your 'ritas held up to their name last weekend...

You go baby - I've been waiting for a "report"

Overall though, how did you like them - sooo different than the "norm" (and soooooo much better once you get used to them :) )

Turtlegirl, Pia's correct. The driveway to CTC is steep and was quite an eye-opening  experience for us newbies last year. Take Pia and mathayom's advice on the walk. However, imho, I would save my energy for the beach, hiking, swimming and snorkeling.

We're staying on the South Shore. Hope to get some good sunsets and hear the waves on this trip. Slowly but surely we'll work our way around the island. I'll post a TR when we get back with a villa review.

Hi. They make good pizza at Pastory also. No delivery though. I agree Ronnie's pizza is good. It is a shame about the car.
