Travel is Underway!

We have completed the first of three segments. We are sitting in DFW waiting for our flight to MIA. If the weather doesn't delay us, we will be at the Beach Bar soon.

We are going to try to put a "20" in the sand some time around 5 pm "Island Time".

They are about to shut the door in MIA . We will be in STT more or less on time. We will grab our carry0on bags and head for the first taxi . We want to catch the 4 pm from CA. The drive to Red Hook might miss the 4 pm there.

We can see it from here . We are on the RH ferry heading for "dry feet" by 4:30.

First we got the news that the CA Ferry would not run until. 5:30. Then we had the normal harrowing taxi ride to RH. They could not have gotten another person or bag in that van. We made it with a few minutes to spare.

In case you haven't looked, the STJ heat index is 102 now. I recommend an ice cold adult beverage immediately to prevent hyperthermia!

Sorry folks. There were so many people wandering across "our" sand that it was impractical to send a message . It didn't seem right to tell tham that our vacation was more important than theirs .

We made it from the seat on the plane to the dock on STJ in 1:15. It was great!
