cptnkirk's Travel Day To Paridise

Post by cptnkirk »

Ok here goes my first real attempt at a trip report even doing it in word so I don't sound to much like a tard. PC correct people probably should not read this report.
I get off work and my sweetie has the car already loaded and were off to the motor city. We grab a bite and get to the hotel about seven. We decide to go get some beer and head to the gas station across the street. No beer? Go to the next station again no beer? Were thinking what the hay don't they drink beer in Michigan. Third station no beer we ask the attendant where can we get some beer he just points and wala place across the street with beer signs all over it DUH he must have thought we were real dumba$$es. Michigan must regulate beer purchases kinda like Ohio does the hard stuff they had all the booze, beer and wine under one roof. Well what to buy, everyone in our group but me likes Mich ultra why I have no idea ya mise well drink club soda. If you're going to drink a beer it should taste like beer. I head for the 40 OZ stuff hey they have Mickey's Malt Liquor. Haven't had Mickey's since high school . So we get our stuff and were on our way. The girls wonder what the heck took so long we say these stupid wolverines don't sell beer at gas stations  We drank some beer, funny Mickeys didn't taste near as good as it did in high school and called it a night. Well shopper3 called a little after nine and let us know they were there as I had picked up a phone card for her. I told her we were in for the night, she must have thought we were a bunch of fuddy duddys and just to stop by the room when they were back from the bar. We had planned to have a drink with the Canuks but Teresa and I get up at five AM for work so we were beat. Nobody that night gets much sleep as I snore like a freight train and I get told to stop snoring all night . Think that's the last time we share a room with our friends I'm not sure if my honey will want to either.
Next day were off, Park and Fly is the way to go ended up paying $30 for the room after ya factor in parking. Said hay to shopper and her gang, grabbed a little breakfast and were off to paradise. Flew Spirit everything went without a hitch and we land on time.
YEEEEE HAAA were in ST Thomas get off the plane no rum hut what's up with that just someone giving out a token don't think it was for a free drink though. Out thru to the taxi area and there's Rachel with a sign with our name on it. Introduce ourselves and were off. What a sweet lady will use her again for sure thanks Xislandgirl for her # and she says Hi. Make the four oclock Redhook ferry and paradise here we come.
Call our contact and tell her we want to do a little shopping and pick up some Uncle Joes for dinner and we'll call back when that's all done. Get our car from Denzels check it out, do the damage check list,
our Viatra is nice and scratched up just the way I like them. Don't want to worry if I put a little scratch or ding on it. I give the checklist back to Brenda and add a few more marks on the checklist for good measure. Brenda gives me a little chuckle at this, it was funny cause the little car diagram had scratches drawn everywhere on it . By the way the car ran like a champ and everything worked and the interior was clean just like our previous time we used them.
Well we meet our contact at Dolphin and were off up Centerline to our villa. She gives us the scoop and she's off. We chow down on our Uncle Joes Chicken make some drinks and watch the sun go down man what a view. Off to bed as we are beat from a long travel day.
Not our first nights sunset as my card took a dump and lost my first day and a halves worth of pics :x

Great start, Captain! What villa did you rent? I forget.

I'm really sorry we did not meet up on the beach. I kept a lookout for you and Mrs. Captain to no avail.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Nice start, Cptn! Sorry to hear you lost so many pictures, but at least it was at the beginning of your trip instead of the end!

Fun, it sounds like a great trip so far - but Mickey's? You're in by-God-Michigan - get some Bell's!

Cheers, RickG

cptkirk:

Two Questions:

1) Was that sunset from your villa?

2) In what general area was your villa located?

Thanks.
