Time to start obsessing!!1

Post by Connie »

This time next week i'll officially be on vacation. A week at oceancliffvilla.com with 12 people.

The logistics of a trip with so many people can be pretty tough and time consuming. I'm usually the travel planner, but i've backed off this time. I still feel the urge to get my hands into everything, but I'm trying not to.

So far we have planned:

3 dinghy's from Noahs for 1/2 day.
Day trip to BVI's via Captain Kevin and his Born to Rhumb!
Shopping ONLY for a 1/4 day in Charlotte Amalie and then up to Paradise Point for the sunset.
Shopping around Cruz Bay and a lunch or dinner at the Beach Bar.
Driving up to Mountaintop for A banana daquiri and the views. gorgeous!
Hanging out at Molly Mallones, Duffy's Love Shack, Lattitude 18, Fungi's and Iggie's.

Need this vacation bad, too bad it's only for 7 days. I'll never do that again, it's just not long enough.

Can't wait!

Wow! :o What a villa. You're getting that for $5,000 a week? I had to go back and look at the price twice. I'm starting to feel cheatin' in my heart. :) Have a great trip.

It's a gorgeous Villa. We stayed there last year with 9 and we added 3 more this year.

It has gorgeous views and the owner has put over 100,000 into this past year sprucing it up. We went to see it again in November when the owner was there and I was blown away.

Sitting out on those decks and just relaxing with a good mixed drink is the best!

Connie,
I feel your pain! Every year in November I put together a trip for our family of 7 plus extras! It usually starts at our orig. 7 then 2 friends, plus 2 friends, 2 family members, etc. Last trip we had 13 and I'm the "Julie McCoy" of every trip while there and I usually do ALL the plane tickets, secure the timeshares, get extra timeshares, etc. It's quite the pain and every year I say I'm not doing it and poof...i'm it.

TG this trip is just hubby and me! I don't mind doing all the planning for this one, plus its his b'day present!!

I'll be looking for you at Duffy's and maybe the Beach Bar (I think we'll go there on the 25th)! I'm assuming you'll all be doing things together so I'll look for a big crowd! I'm not shy so I'll go up to each crowd and ask for Connie!!!

Are you leaving from Philly or crossing the boarder and coming into NJ (where the prices were better)?

Hi Elisa....

We're going out of Philly on the 24th!

We do consider Atlantic City all the time when we travel, but Philly fit for all 12 of us.

We'll be at Molly's and Duffy's on the night of the 24th for my daughter birthday...who knows what will happen on the 25th..maybe be over the beach bar too!

Be sure to say hi if you see us all and if you don't make sure you have a great trip! I'm sure you will

How 'bout coming to the BB Sunday PM?

It might be a pretty big group, but you could double the size of the group. :D

Connie, that's an amazing villa with an amazing view! I looked through their photo gallery also, and there is a fantastic "moonrise from the villa" shot in there. I'm very jealous! You're going to have such a great time that all the planning will pay off!

Went through all those summer clothes last night and picked out what I want to bring. Definetly wil cut that in 1/2. Girls need more clothes on vacation right?

I promise to only bring 2 bathing suits this year. I have to keep to my promise to husband for one carry on. He wanted me to do a duffle bag, but i'm not carrying that around. I'll use one on wheels.

Last night I also went to a local craft store and bought these small plastic bags, usually used for beads. I picked out the spices we would need, filled them up, labeled them too. Spices are expensive, but I have to get to Ruths to pick up some of my favorites that didn't last since last November.

I'm keeping in mind the BB on Sunday night...who's going?
